Emergency gensets for two major wind farms in Mexico

Galicia-based Genesal Energy has once again strengthened its presence in the renewable energy sector by taking part in the construction of two major wind farms in Mexico, thereby demonstrating its commitment to this clean and sustainable energy model at international level. These are the San Carlos and Santa Cruz wind farms that in total with be equipped with over 100 wind turbines to power the state of Tamaulipas, home to a population of 3.4 million.

The San Carlos wind farm, already under construction, will have an output of 198 MW and consist of a total of 60 wind turbines and will be one of the largest wind farms in Tamaulipas. Genesal Energy is taking part in the project by designing, manufacturing and supplying three backup gensets to power several substations in San Carlos, specifically, two open units of 462 kVA each and one soundproofed with an output of 220 kVA.
