ENERGYEAR Mediterránea, el escenario perfecto para la vuelta segura de los eventos presenciales

The ENERGYEAR Mediterránea trade fair took place last 21 and 22 April, at the Marriot Auditorium Hotel in Madrid. The event was held under the strictest of security measures and has shaped the return to in-person events, bringing together a host of attendees, top speakers from the energy sector and leading renewable energy professionals.

Over 600 participants, 270 of which in-person, turned ENERGYEAR Mediterránea into a not-to-be-missed event for the leading players in the energy sector, with participants from more than 15 countries worldwide streaming the event and representatives from more than 300 companies taking part.

In strict observance of the security measures, with temperature control at every access point, the mandatory use of masks, social distancing at all times in both the conference hall and during the cocktail event (individually served) and while networking, the excitement of those actually present at ENERGYEAR Mediterránea was palpable, as one of the first in-person events to take place during this COVID-19 era.

A widespread feeling of total security was just what every attendee needed over the two-day duration of the event, during which they were able to benefit from a free antigen test, undoubtedly giving a major boost to all the other safety measures implemented by the organisers. 

Even as the first attendees arrived, the keen anticipation of the sector was noticeable in a sector that has been waiting to get back around the table to discuss current issues, including the new vectors and paradigms of the energy sector, the role of renewables in Spain’s economic reactivation, the latest trends as regards financing and technological advances that will continue to progress competitiveness. Auctions, PPAs and storage also featured among the other key topics discussed at the event.

ENERGYEAR Mediterránea also hosted the ENERGYEAR H2 event, a new generation of events focused on green hydrogen, which are endorsed by the prestigious renewable energy events brand ENERGYEAR, sector leader in Latin America and Spain.
