Cover Story

Ingeteam has recently been awarded two significant contracts that consolidate its position in the European operation and maintenance market for renewable installations. In Spain, the company has been awarded the 4-year O&M contract for Talayuela Solar, one of the largest solar farms in Europe. Beyond Spain’s borders, Ingeteam has become a key agent in the UK market by signing a contract with SSE to provide wind power O&M services in Scotland.

One of the most important solar projects in Europe

With 300 MWp (more than one million PV panels), Talayuela Solar is one of the largest solar PV projects in Europe, generating around 600 GWh/year.

Designed to be an environmental reference, Talayuela Solar integrates the latest in generation technologies and construction techniques to minimise the impact on the terrain and the fauna during its construction. In addition, the project has been a source of local job creation, generating over 300 jobs throughout the construction period.

Situated in the province of Cáceres, the Talayuela Solar farm is one of the biggest in Europe. Commissioned in early 2021, Ingeteam was awarded the O&M contract for this mega-plant. This is 4-year contract entered into with Solarcentury, Statkraft in Spain, involving the recruitment of a dozen employees who have been part of the Ingeteam workforce since last July.
