Ingeteam and BYD have tested and certified at their respective R&D laboratories the compatibility of BYD’s high voltage Battery-Box H 5.1 and 6.4, and Ingeteam’s INGECON® SUN STORAGE 1Play hybrid solar-plus-storage inverter.

The coupling of Ingeteam’s inverter and BYD’s batteries is a complete hybrid system to capture and maximize the use of the solar resource. The versatility of the Ingeteam hybrid inverter in combination with BYD’s HV battery, permits to operate in stand-alone mode, back-up (UPS) mode or self-consumption mode. Thus, on-grid systems can store the solar energy during the day to consume it at night without risk of a power outage in case of a grid blackout, prioritizing the maximum self-consumption ratio at the same time.

During the certification process, BYD implemented a new battery capacity calibration system to improve the measuring and control of the state of charge of the battery. This newest feature was also implemented and certified within the Ingeteam inverter.

BYD’s LiFePO4 high voltage battery, with its 5.1 kWh and 6.4 kWh of capacity -depending on the model-, has been conceived for residential and commercial use, storing the electric energy and optimizing the installation’s energy efficiency thanks to the stabilization of the power supplied.

For its part, the Ingeteam hybrid inverter makes it possible to connect a PV array and a battery bank to the same unit, thereby reducing the cost of the system as a whole. This is a 3 or 6 kW single-phase transformerless inverter, to address residential and commercial installations.

With a capacity of 6.4 kWh, the lithium-ion battery made by LG Chem is designed for residential and commercial use, storing electricity and optimising the energy efficiency of the system, thanks to the stabilisation of the power supplied.

For its part, the Ingeteam inverter makes it possible to connect a PV array and a battery bank to the same unit, thereby reducing the cost of the system as a whole. This is a single phase, 3 to 6 kW inverter, designed for single and three phase residential and commercial installations alike.

Ingeteam’s new outdoor central inverter was one of the key attractions at the company’s stand at Intersolar Europe 2015. The design of this central PV inverter with a power output of 1.16 MW, is based on the string inverter philosophy. What’s more, Ingeteam has applied this same technology to develop its new battery inverter, with the same power output.

At the fair in Munich, considerable interest was also shown for the string PV inverters, the medium voltage solutions also known as power stations (up to 2.33 MW) as well as the range of battery inverters on show and the e-vehicle charging stations. Likewise, the solutions for self-consumption and for PV-Diesel hybrid systems also attracted a great deal of attention from visitors.

In the year in which Ingeteam has now been operating for 25 years in the renewable energy sector (39 GW supplied throughout the world) and for 15 years in the operation and maintenance tasks in this same sector (6.2 GW in O&M contracts throughout the world), Ingeteam is delighted to have had some very good results at the trade fair held at Messe München, and would like to thank all those visitors to the stand and also the event organisers for their excellent work.

At the trade fair Intersolar Europe in Munich, Zeversolar presents its new inverter Zeverlution Pro 33K for the first time. The inverter has a nominal output of 33 kilowatts, reaches a maximum efficiency of up to 98.5% and weighs only 58 kilograms. The new product will be available in China on June 15th and in Europe and Taiwan in July, while the inverter will be available in Australia and India in October.

Thanks to its compact IP65 casing, the new inverter is ideal for PV plants. The separated distribution cover makes it very easy to connect the cables. The integrated DC and AC surge protection guarantees a maximum of safety and reliability.

Highly flexible

The inverter has two independent MPP trackers and works in a wide MPP range and a maximum input of 1.000 volts. It comes with an integrated AC and DC surge protection. It starts to work at a very low start voltage of 250 volts, which further increases the yield. For grid and plant management, the customer can choose between Zeversolar´s power management unit ZeverManager or Modbus-compliant 3rd party management devices.

“With our new Zeverlution 33K inverter, we have managed to reduce the installation costs and to increase the yield”, says Christian Weinekoetter, Director Product Management at Zeversolar. He adds: “An efficiency increase of only 0.1% means an average of 55 kWh more electricity output per year.”
